We supposed to encourage black women to wear their natural hair but deal with all the slander and bullshyt when we choose to do the same? :patrice:

Forgive me for this, but the main ones that talk shyt about our hair when we wear it and don't cut it is black women.

"Can nikkas go back to waves and leave that nappy fro shyt/natural hair alone" is something I see a lot on twitter.

What's the problem with OUR natural hair?

Why do WE need to cut ours to look like a grown up and not a lil boy?

How can you want it one way but not the other way? :jbhmm:

Waves are not the same as relaxing your hair or wearing weaves and wigs, but I see what you're saying to an extent.

Fact is, this society is structured on anti-Blackness, hence why not only are our traditional hairstyles disrespected and seen as "unprofessional," but so is the texture of our hair period

That being said, a lot of nikkas today be looking like straight clowns with some of these styles :pachaha: there's nothing wrong with using a pick every now and then :yeshrug:

Waves is a hairstyle dummy. When I had waves all I had to do was pick my hair out and my waves were gone :camby:

You don't even know any pomade to get waves. Just throw a wave cap on and brush and you'll get waves.
