What's wrong with HBO?

Why are they making shows like this depressing garbage that came on today called "Getting On"?

Sick of all these wack ass shows. Now HBO want their own equivalent of nurse jackie (another irritating one from showtime).

like i said in another thread.. Boardwalk Empire and Game of thrones are still better than anything the other networks have...but i'm worried about their new show choices post those 2 shows.. Those are both gonna be 4 and 5 year old shows. If True Detecive flops its not looking good for them. Plus other networks are launching heat (fx with The Americans, netflix got orange is the new black and house of cards, Showtime got homeland(falling off now) and masters of sex)

Thrones is their only great show(dont watch Boardwalk,tired of the whole mob genre)

theyve had so many misses over the last 5+ years but i will give them credit for throwing most of those shows in the bushes and trying something new unlike showtime,who is known for sticking with shows too long

I think True Detective will be good but you never know with an anthology series.

You don't know what you're missing. I only watch two tv shows and this is one of them. It's not necessarily mob. I've never seen a show put so much detail into costume, cinematography, etc

They cancelled Rome because it was too expensive to produce.

Which sucks cuz that shyt was piff

I think the reason may be that those shows are much cheaper to produce than Carnivale and Deadwood.....

I think people are sleeping on newzroom though

GoT and boardwalk is all i need ...eastbound & down was piff this year too....true detective look dope too, ol dude said its an anthology but i highly doubt that....he might be thinking of a different word
