What's ya go to anime to convert a skeptic

Basically, If you have to pick one anime to convert somebody that does not watch anime cause they think its childish or they "aren't into cartoons". Which anime are you picking ? It has to convert them by the time 25% of the show is watched.

For me it's Death note. This has been field tested as I got a girl hooked on it that didn't respect anime.. Death note looks serious enough to help people overcome the "kiddy" vibe of anime. The premise is interesting enough on its own to grab somebody's intrigue and it already gets off to a good start.

To start off lightly, I hit'em with the first eps of Bebop and Samurai Champloo. If I need to use a movie, I throw in the GOAT Akira or MAYBE the OG Ghost in the Shell. I need to get GITS: SAC on Bluray so I can use that

These aren't necessarily my favorite series but they're easy to follow, keep you guessing, and don't really have many filler episodes. They aren't the typical high school kids saving the world bullshyt either.

i don't have any because Anime isn't one thing really. its like you have The Muppet Babies and Family Guy. both are cartoons but there's a wide difference between them. that's Anime. one show has little if anything to do with another.
