it ain't gotta be a whole dish, could be 1 or 2 things :lupe:

my dad makes the best chicken, ever. no other fried chicken can compare. his burgers and french fries (cut up fresh from potatos) be the best too:ohlawd:

my mom makes the best pancakes, spaghetti, potato salad, mac n cheese, corn/rice puddin', cakes, pies, etc :ohlawd:

with the combination of both their foods, they should have a restaurant :whew:

what meals y'all parents make that y'all just love? :leon:

Mother's chicken enchiladas and refried beans.

Father's chicken soup, sticky rice, and laab (when I went to visit, he didn't cook since he works third shift but this was usually made on Sundays when I was younger).

Mom - Biryani, chicken pie, chicken a la king.

Dad - Don't think he's ever stood in front of a stove.

My dad never cooked much. That was typically my moms forte.
She always has me some cheesy spaghetti bake ready when I visit.
That, or her broccoli, chicken and cheese casserole.
That fried chicken and homemade mac & cheese never fails, either.
With homemade punch to wash it down or sometimes kool aid with a little lemon juice added.
It's the simple things.
I need to call her tomorrow.

Used to love my mom's (RIP) whole stuffed chicken. And them porcupine meatballs. But I learned how to cook something serious and now all my shyt is probably better.

but mom's been gone since I was 15. I would take her meals over mine any day :mjcry::mjcry:
