He's alright. It always feel like "That's Anthony Mackie playing a role" instead of actually being the character he's portraying.

5.5/10 actor. Bad in certain roles. Ok in others. Never really great in any. He suits Falcon but the character could have been better with a better actor in the role. Was terrible in Altered Carbon season II. Renée Elise Goldsberry (Quellcrist Falconer) was the standout in that.

He really wasnt much help in Altered Carbon S2 ,that season was trash compared to the first.I almost stopped watching,the acting was bad,just bad with no redeeming qualities from Anthony to elevate a poorly written second season,the girl that played Quelchrist kept his poor acting from becoming an eye sore..

He's okay. He's the kinda actor that shines once the material is great but he'll never elevate substandard scripts. I've watched him in a bunch of bad movies, but he never annoys me.

I kinda see him as a middle-class Samuel L Jackson.
