Looking for some flat, budget headphones to make beats with while the fam is sleeping. I stumbled upon these and been reading some good reviews on it but not sure if the sites are just being paid to praise them.

Either these or can y’all recommend some not too pricey cans to make beats with?

No experience with the 8400s, but I have the Audio Technica ATH-M50x and the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 32 Ohm and I can vouch for both of them as being quality affordable cans.

I was also looking at those. I’m very picky so when I read the 770s didn’t have a detachable cord, I wasn’t happy. I travel a lot and fukked up so many headphones because I couldn’t detach the cable.

The 50x seems cool but my only problem is the slight bass boost. As these cans will be my primary mixing tool, I don’t want that bass jump to cloud my mixing judgement. I want something as flat as possible and that’s what I’ve heard KRK offers.

Thanks for the input tho breh
