It makes a great case for having an independent fourth branch of government , staffed entirely by career civil servants who cannot be randomly fired by whoever's in charge. And im picturing something as simple as the civil service test and a peer-reviewed entrance exam for competency in their field.




At a certain point you need a group of doctors or economists or scientists or dignitaries that are bound to their own unique ethical codes for their specialty. The current system makes it too easy to install yesmen that green light stupid decisions like outlawing vaccines or tariffing the planet.
