The most underrated EMCEE when it comes to those who grew up on Hip Hop after the 80s. They seem to really underrated LL...Dude is LEGEND!!

1. Walking With A Panther(his most lyrical album and my Top 7 FAV Hip Hop albums of all time)

2. Bigger and Deffer(was my Fav until a few yrs ago when I realized I played Panther much more often)

3. Mama Said Knock You Out(his BEST album)

4. Radio(the sheer energy on this album plus the T La Rock like lyrical gems were:gladbron:)

5. 14 Shots To The Dome(lyrically he was :ehh: for quite few songs but there were a lot dope songs and production on the album)

Walking With A Panther is a really good album. It didn't get the respect it deserved in the late 80's because Hip Hop had gone really conscious with groups like Public Enemy and artist like KRSOne. But LL was in the zone with his lyrics.

Mr. Smith is hands down his best album. It has everything, and "Doin it" is a timeless party/fckin track.

LL gets a bad rep for all the love songs he made but real talk, those are classic love songs and if some of u dudes are too stuck on how tough you are to realize the greatness of LL Cool J then thats you, keep playing that role and being one dimensional.

When it was time for LL to put on the construction hat he did against Ice T, kool moe Dee he did. And Im not sure who i think won the battle anymore but I think it was very close between Cool J and Canibus. At least LL had the balls to participate in that battle, someone like jay-Z probably woulda just played it same and thrown some shots here and there.

LL Cool J's name belongs with the greats of all musical genre's. Hes bigger then rap
