Whats your view on Ryan Leslie?

his work-rate seems to be top notch,production always on point,rapping skills isnt great but can be improved....seems to be putting up his own money and funding his music,nice lil independent concept to connect musicians with fans that lil bit more...

ok he may seem a lil dork'ish at times but he loves music, where did it go wrong for him?

he made dope beats and had good songs. He more popular in Europe then in US. But he went wrong when he started rapping. that nikka can sing a bit but he cant rap for shyt

If he stayed making RnB I'd prefer it.

I like him and even bought one of his albums. The coolest part is you can email and text him and he responds. I actually talked to him via email mad times just asking him about the music business

I actually really like Ryan Leslie and feel that he comes off pretty decent in his music. For some reason tho, he really rubbed me wrong in this interview with his "well if they paid to support me then i'll speak with them on the street" stuff. I truly get his point, but it all comes off poorly IMO.

His pretentiousness mixed with his marginal (at best) talent makes it hard to get into whatever he's selling.
