why are you still friends with this guy . This is the type of guy you do not want to be friends with, although i do believe competition is healthy because without it we wont progress but if he's your friend like you say he is

I recently told a friend of mine that I got a new job and it seems like every time it comes up in discussion, she's on the verge of tears because in her fukked up mind, she doesn't seem to be able to be happy for anyone that's doing something she wants to do (she's very dissatisfied with her job right now). It's like unless she's absolutely dominating everything life throws at her, she considers herself a failure.

I'm at the point where even if I had good news, I won't share it with her. Some days I don't even know why I'm friends with her, to keep it 100.

Yeah, I get that, but she wasn't even checking for this job I landed. She wants no parts of the newspaper side of things (she works for the magazine side of my current employer). There was no competition here, breh. She's just a highly dissatisfied individual that can't stop twisting the successes of others into the perceived failures of herself. Me moving on to a new company only reminds her that she isn't doing so, and she can't handle that. I don't think in her current state, she can ever be really happy for anyone unless everything is going her way first.
