Old man yelling at the clouds in this piece. I get they’re just rephrasings of “corny” and “fo sho” but I’ve been hearing them both more frequently in passing.

As the generation that is growing up on social media, internet, and mass multiplayer video games gets older….seems like black kids are adopting a lot of white internet culture/slang. (And vice versa)

And regional slang (to a small degree) is slightly dying off.

I notice the differences in between how my 18 yo, 13 yo, 9 yo cousins/nephew all speak and type of lingo they use. The youngest using the most “internet” style language. The oldest still using mostly South Florida/Dade County slang.

Beyond the slang, it’s a concern because white internet culture can be insidious.
