When did you figure out santa wasn't real?

When you find out Santa isn't real
7 or 8 years old. Two things happened: (1) I was peeping my presents under the tree a couple days before Christmas and saw a couple from Santa 
(2) I left cookies and milk for Santa on Xmas eve. The next morning I peeped his thank you note and it was mom's handwriting. That's when I knew. Didn't even care honestly

When I was old enough to talk. Parents used to have the fake presents around the tree cause we were too broke
