I want to start with Nas. Of course Ether after Takeover would be the easy claim but I wanted to talk about before that. When Nas had sort of fallen off in the eyes of people who wanted him to take the hip hop crown. I remember back when Nas had went the Nastradamus route after the infamous double album leak and he had sort of lost the love and respect he had gotten from the hip hop heads while somehow getting more popular acclaim and doing tracks with Mariah, Ginuwine, etc...
Something happened during 2000 and Nas got smacked back into his senses. Now mind you, this was before him and Jay were in an all out battle and were still sending shots and fighting proxy.... At this time I can't recall if this dropped before or after the Clue Eye for an Eye freestyle but this track along with that let me know Esco was back.....
