When did you realize you preferred light skin?

I grew up mostly around whites, so I didn't even really notice any gradations of color among black people until I was maybe 18 or 19. Since then, I've always preferred redbones or caramel girls

Redbone women / caramel complected (a la Beyonce ) are the most beautiful women in the world, IMO. I'd even take them over a short, big titted Korean bytch with an ass

I don't have a preference. A fine chick is a fine chick. I have had my fair share of redbones/mixes bytches of course. But on the other hand I have had some fine ass brown skin females. I had a cambodian chick that was like gabriel unions shade maybe a bit darker, that was fine as a MF. Color had nothin to do with her beauty. But I wish that some of y'all nyggaz would stop puttin every light skinned or mixed bytch up on a gatdamn pedestal. Like seriously, just because a bytch is light, it doesn't mean that she is fine.

Some of y'all nyggaz be gassin up these bytces heads when in fact not all light skinned/mixed females are fine. Some nyggaz just see light skin and will automaticaly qualify a bytch to be a dime I have personally seen, so many dudes get played because the just HAVE to have a light skinned bytch by any means neccesary. Meaning, they will overlook all kinds of flaws that a lightskin bytch may have, just to be seen with a light skin bytch. I'm from Canada and I seriously never knew about the light skin/dark skin divide until I went on the internet. Granted I'm not from the "blackest" area in the world by any means but growing up I didn't really notice or think about any difference when it came to black people/girls. All I knew was I didn't like girls who were overtly biracial (like Lisa Bonet, Hilary from Fresh Prince and Charli Baltimore). I just thought of fine black women as fine black women so I was surprised as fukk to see all the dark hating on the net.

I find almost all types of black women attractive and generally feel there's attractive women in just about every ethnic group/population but objectively I guess I lean towards women closer to the middle like Gabrielle Union and Letoya Luckett. In real life I'm usually chasing women that color or slightly darker but really there are women darker than that and lighter than that who are attractive as hell. I just don't get how you can be that turned off/on by skin tone.
