it comes off as corny , and hypocritical
Growing up I seen girls, usually younger black women say ”you cute but u lightskin”to my boy & other lightskin brehs
“I dont date lightskins”
When u come to find out most their celebrity crushes and exes are lightskin.
And my boy ALWAYS got dark/brownskin girls with EASE. Yet they claim they dont light skins.
Imagine saying “you cute but you darkskin”
Truth be told being lightskin was never a disadvantage with women
The females I hear say this are low self esteem and assume since a dude is lightskinned that he will feel he is “better”/cocky or more likely to cheat. It’s an assumed inferiority complex of “he’s too good for me so Ima reject him first”.
And feel like the pretty one in the relationship
Which can be true of any man of any shade but it’s funny how that’s associated with light skin men
2020 the fake lightskin bashing gotta go. It wreaks of an inferiority complex.
