When it comes to gang/black on black violence, when is enough enough?

or do we just allow them to continue to kill innocent people and getting "tear drops" for it? I think its time we take out the trash like joe clark did in lean on me. But i have no idea how to get all of these thugs and hooligans away from our precious youth so that they are able to lead productive lives without gang interference. Those that are in gangs/looking to join are a lost cause at this point We need a safe haven in the hood where these kids can go. If you've served time, again, your on your own.

It all comes back to fatherlessness, imo. If you are a young man and you haven't received the type validation that only a father can provide then you will begin to seek that out in ways that are often detrimental.

....I'm kind of beyond that knuckles. I know the cause for most of it but what about the cards we have been dealt? Thus, how the fukk do we get rid of these thugs already? I mean, many have been locked up but they still keep coming....younger and younger. Fathers will come once our men realize (if) what they are doing to our communities and when nerds become cool in our communities. Nerds ain't abandoning their kids like thugs have done for decades. I propositioned years back a nerds vs thugs war and i think its time for that shyt to come to fruition .

You're not going to end gang violence, the same way you're not going to end violence period. Im an old head who grew up in a 2 parent home, I have a bachelor's degree and there are still people I come across that I want to kill. Violence is as natural as eating. Wrong food will do things to your body, just the same as being around the wrong people will activate certain actions. It takes discipline.

Problem is they have to want to change and they dont. The girls still give them p*ssy, they skate in and out of jail, the keep money from illegal activity and are high outta there minds most of the time. Its kind hard to change them if they dont want to change. I have a cousin who is 23 now and I'm suprised he is still alive to be honest. He wants to be how my brother was when he was his age. My brother is 39 yrs old and to date has been out of jail for 7 straight years. This is the longest he has every been out of jail. When he came home this time, he went to trade school and his teacher took a likening to him. Set him up with a company that makes airplane parts and he makes 70k a year now. As much as my brother tries to tell him how he fukked his life up, all he wants to do is live up to my brother's reputation. I asked him did he have life insurance and he told me, I'll be dead just put me in a box. How is this his mindset at 23? They have to want to change and if you can catch them at this point then this is when we can help them.

If anyone is in Chicago and wants to help on some small projects I am involved in with a social group from the local church, send me a private message with your contact info. We are trying to do big brother type of program but dont have many people volunteering or many local young men coming in but we will be trying to get better organized so we can try at it again after the winter. I'd really appreciate it.

.......Breh, at this point, its not even about the numbers, its about what our eyes are seeing. I go out often here in atlanta and I can tell you firsthand, many women are walking alone with 2-3 kids at a time with no father in sight at FAMILY FUNCTIONS! She's stressed and its obvious. There is no ring on her fukking finger....only a duffle bag full of bottles and pampers. She's often hollering at her kids. In comparison, same aged women (25-28) of other races are out OFTEN with her kids AND husband. She too is stressed and is often hollering at her youngsters but what i see is a damn ring and a fukking father RIGHT THERE! These kids are raising themselves breh (en masse) and you cannot deny that. I know there are several great black families but for each great one, there seems to be like 5-6 fukked up ones'

I feel like you're trying to analyze the end result of the actual problem. We shouldn't have thugs to get rid of. Fatherlessness is a big part of what perpetuates this issue of young males joining gangs, becoming a menace to their own neighborhoods and contributing nothing to society. But like @PhonZhi said, there needs to be an entire cultural shift and rearranging of priorities. None of this will happen over night, obviously.
