Is this an appreciation thread or is there room for debate?

Because RZA is better

i guess you could say it's an appreciation thread and there's always room for debate because at the end of the day it's all subjective and opinions really. i like the rza but as far as production goes, he fell off a while ago. not to say that quik hasn't had some weak moments because every artist does but with those weak moments, quik has still managed to produced some really nice records. i can't say the same for rza

for the record, i didn't care much at all for quik's last album from start to finish but he still was able to produce a couple songs on there that i liked. i can't say the same for rza and the last wu album he produced. i didn't like anythin' on that album. i can't even remember the last rza beat that really had my head noddin' like talkin' bout

nah I wanted to know so that I'm not shytting on someone's appreciation thread lmao

but the way you posed the shyt in the title made me think, na I need to retort
:lolbron:

I think RZA's 1993-1997 peak run was untouchable by any producer, he had to command 9 other MC's (8 for most of it) and direct them into solo ventures and organised them for Clan albums. Truly remarkable.

Then he showed his flexibility in extending to horror core subject matter with Gravediggaz, and then he did movie soundtracks through the years, and even when he was hands off Wu albums, he would still exec. produce fantastic 2000s albums like Supreme Clientele and Cuban Linx II
