My aunt did that to me at a family event last year. Asked me why have I never brought a female to an event, and asked where's my girlfriend, and if I don't have one, why not. Because the other cousins in my generation including her daughters has multiple kids and she seen all they boy or girlfriends come to events over the years.

I didn't have a quick answer so luckily my uncle stepped in immediately and said leave him alone. Saved me.

Left to my own devices I would have probably killed the entire mood of the event with my answer so I'm glad he stepped in.

Not ugly gang, but my family stopped asking if I had a girlfriend. (I take a ton of psych meds and couldn’t care less about relationships). My grandma thought she was all smart saying “girlfriend or...boyfriend”. I was like nah and laughed at that.

It’s kinda strange being 36 with no girlfriend. I’m like the only person at work who isn’t in a relationship. I think I’m gonna have to start bringing random girls to work events to keep up appearances.
