To Declare Climate Emergency and
1.) lay out a strategy to decarbonize our economy by 2030.
2.) immediately hold fossil fuel companies accountable for misinforming the public for decades
3.) develop an adaptability strategy that particularly focuses on communities that will be most vulnerable in the coming decades.
Nothing matters (reparations, Med 4 All, Student Debt relief etc) if we don't have a planet to live on. The climate crisis will cause an inevitable downturn in the economy and our standard of living. And all the existing issues we care about today will be exacerbated. There are no magical technologies that will save us currently. What is need is massive government intervention. I know of you libertarians don't want to hear that but it is what it is.
