When the dust settles The Roots will be the goat hip hop group

When its all said and done, dust settles, and they stop making albums they will be the most consistently dope hip hop group of all time. Right now they're behind wu-tang clan, outkast, and a tribe called quest. All the groups I mentioned are defunct and more than likely will never put out another project. The Roots have never broken up or had the problems of the aforementioned groups. So at 10 albums with one slated for this year who knows when they will actually stop making albums.

The Roots have never made a wack album and on top of that I've yet to hear a wack Black Thought verse. It seems as if he crafts all his shyt to preciseness. He's definitely in my top 10 favorite emcees of all time. His words are just poetry in motion. Very captivating and thoughtful emcee.

Besides Kendrick's next album...The Roots' "And Then You Shoot Your Cousin" is @ the top of my most anticipated albums.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say that they'll be the greatest group ever, but definately one of the greatest, and yeah......Black Thought is criminally underrated.

They definitely have the GOAT catalog in consistent quality. Mobb Deep, Wu, Outkast, De La, EPMD, and ATCQ had better peaks, but not the consistent longevity. The Roots have never made a bad album.

WOW the Kings of sleepy time Neo soul go ahead&take a bow! usually when you have a Greatest Hits set you actually have some Hits. this is like opening up the Cracker Jack Box&finding that you don't have no price. now while you can respect the food,you want the Prize. this Act ain't never brought no Prize. all they have is the shameless self-Promoting Afro all over everywhere except in the studio making some hits.great to be a almost 20 year act&have Zero Memorable songs.Congradulations!!!! this Band is the Paris Hilton of Music:Famous for Being Famous without actually being Famous.

Black Thought and The Roots as a whole represent everything good about hip-hop and they are highly unappreciated by folks who just don't get it. They are putting on a clinic every time they perform, every time Black Thought spits a verse, every time they cover a song, every time they are the backing band for another artist. They are professionals in every sense of the word from how they conduct themselves to their work ethic and their consistency.

Lord Willin' these dudes never stop putting out music. How I Got Over and Undun were among the best albums from the year they were released. Even the people they hand pick to be on their records come correct every time. These dudes are craftsmen with their music.
