Let me be clear, I do not condone hitting women or domestic violence.

But let's also accept the TRUTH that "a man should never hit a woman" is NOT a legal law. In fact, if a woman hits you as a man, you have every right(the same as she does) according to the law, to call the police and have her arrested. According to the law, neither side should be hitting the other.

You also have every right as a human(male or female) to defend yourself against bodily harm if the situation calls for it.

And these women need to realize that b/c this is simply a cultural norm, that NOT everybody adheres or believes in that norm. So don't think you can jump up in every mans face or push him, spit at him/swing at him, and just automatically assume he isn't gonna do anything. Everybody isn't wired the same, and everybody has a line drawn that u dont cross.

Truthfully, this cultural belief believed by most women has probably caused more domestic violence than necessary. If women knew there was a 50/50 chance a man would swing back, she probably wouldn't swing first. An old grandmother will tell you, "baby, don't you get up in his face like that swingin and pushin, actin crazy.....he's still a man."

It's best to keep your hands to yourself. :yeshrug:

I went to Youtube and searched "Never Okay To Hit A Woman".

A ton of videos related to the subject of domestic violence came up. :ehh:

I went back to Youtube and searched "Never Okay To Hit A Man".

These were the first videos to come up...

I think a huge part of the problem is that while there are ads run (like the NBA one) saying that "hitting a woman isn't okay", there aren't any that say it's not okay to hit a man...thus making it seem as if it only works one way. There should be ads with both genders saying it's never okay to assault or put your hands on another human being...

...or maybe we need an ad with MMA dudes addressing men AND women like, "Yeah...it's probably not wise to put your hands on a guy...because he might be crazy...and could possibly kill your tough ass."

...and then you could also have an ad with respected women telling other women that it's not okay to put your hands on women.

Some of the most popular shows directed at urban women involve loud, violent leads. My boy's girlfriend gets super loud & violent, and she watches "Bad Girls Club", "Basketball Wives", and "Love & Hip-Hop" religiously. These shows trend on Twitter whenever they come on. Media promotes that shyt.

:heh: a lot of dudes would swear up and down that they came from a two parent home and shyt on the ones that doesnt but would c/s beating women as a form of self defense. My mom told me never to put my hands on a woman but my father embed it in me not to do it. Where are all these dudes fathers at?

Problem is most men can drop most women with one punch. And it's not self defense anymore once the threat is stopped. So almost any physical action toward a woman is frowned upon.

I can't relate. If a woman hits me she getting hit back. Now I'm not gonna beat her ass but hit her hard enough to let her know who and what she dealing with.

Regardless of the outcome.

I don't mean to offend anyone but that's what and how I feel

I agree with the whole post, and the bolded is also true....subconsciously, some people often accept what they see on TV as reality. So if a woman behaves like a wild animal on these reality shows like this, these young chicks really believe it's acceptable to act like this, and somehow they will get away with it.

Well, I probably have that vibe/aura about myself....but at the same time, that doesn't give (a woman) any right to put your hands on me or come at my physically. And that also doesnt mean that if I feel my safety is in real danger, that I wont come up with these beads to protect my being. Hell I look like being in the hospital busted up b/c I felt like I was being a real man by letting a woman beat me up and not retaliate? :childplease:

A man should be able to be a gentleman towards a woman and she should still have the knowledge that he's still a man and to respect that zone.

It's like I say, you won't see the stuff you see women doing here going on in the Middle East. Women over there know not to physically go at a man b/c they don't play that over there. :usure:

Its very rare where a situation rises and hitting a woman is justified. Women are so much smaller..unless you frail:ld: you can restrain her

Fukk that, I've made it through life just fine without having to hit a woman. so I'm not trying to hear all that bullshyt. I done had to restrain and stop females from trying to attack and hit me but I never thought "I'ma steal on this bish and put her in her place"

And don't be fooled by this thread either.

Hit a broad and let there be any bruise, scar, scratch on her and watch yo ass go to jail with no questions asked. I've seen it happen twice first hand where the dude wasn't even hitting the chick but when the police got there the dude was the one in the back of the car.

My words were fukk NO IF THE DAY HAPPENED AGAIN I WOULD DO THE EXACT SAME THING

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I've never hit a woman, however if one was trying to fight my girl, mother or sister, she's getting lit up :manny: You threaten the well being of people I love and the situation will be handled with extreme prejudice. Too many women believe there's a force field around them that stops men from hitting them, and find out the hard way there are dudes who can punch right through them.

I know someone who let a woman punch him in the face 3 times and he did not retaliate. His head whipped back and he stared back at her like this :hmm: Then, she called him the b word and told him to go cry. I thought it was honorable but i felt that maybe she needed to be retrained from hurting my friend.
