it dont matter, itll create more jobs but ppl willl get paid like 4 bucks & hr........

...some wino outside the car wash told me the world was coming to the end....whats ur point?
I was just informed that there is no correlation between the two.
Switzerland shouldn't even conut man![]()
When will the left throw min wage in the bushes, and focus on collective bargaining and stronger safety nets?
The numbers speak for themselves.

can we stop using Walmart for the example of ALL companies?Except your missing one key detail, rich white people and their cac attitudes. The Walton family owns $100 billion estimated with Wal-Mart, and that store is utter shyt. With a bigger population, if there is not a minimum wage hike, legit peeps will use Medicaid and be a burden on taxpayers. By giving people $15 p/hr, you take them of social programs and be able to lower the tax bracket because the need for socialize programs goes down. Not to mention we have the huge jail infrastructure and military to support tax wise. Straight up America has financial diabetes, and we need insulin to keep it running properly.
this assumes the mechanism used to "peg" such a correlation would always be valid.Breh breh breh. You title the thread "when will the left throw min wage in the bushes", then post a chart showing a correlation between min wage and unemployment without question or critique. How is that NOT an assertion that minimum wage has a negative effect on unemployment? If that's not what you meant by it what did you mean?
In reality, there is ZERO correlation. I pulled MW and UE data from Wikipedia and Trading Economics..... here's what I found

Now here's the part where you say "this is exactly what I wanted, I wanted someone to pull the data together for me"![]()
Unemployment isn't even meant to be "zero"So zero correlation between min wage and unemployment... got it.

I mean i don't shop there and I don't like how they do business, but its kinda the low-hanging fruit of an example
You think everyone can afford to shop at Whole Foods, or buy Organic? In this day, there are two stores for the poor; Walmart and the Dollar Store.
this assumes the mechanism used to "peg" such a correlation would always be valid.
I'm not inherently against the minimum wage, but lets not jump over that as well.
Who is to say it must be a 1:1 correlation:
Walmart is the largest US retailer and the model of many other big retailers of its kind (Target for example).can we stop using Walmart for the example of ALL companies?

Who woyld you rather be used, that is more representative of big business?

Such as?People just like to equate Walmart with ALL sorts of other unrelated businesses either in size or scale or industry. Its inherently disingenuous.
