I often see dudes saying "Man this game has no MP??
" as if the game having MP would somehow make it worth $60. You probably go to the movies and spend $20+ for a 2hr flick that you can only see once.
You buy a game like say Resident Evil 4 and you can play it over and over and even if you don't play it over right away, it's always there. A lot of times a game with great pacing and a nice sweet length(12-15 hrs) is better than a bloated 15-20 hour game like The Evil Within for example. I might beat a game and then later on decide to play it over on a harder difficulty or just because I enjoyed it a lot.
Some of the best games of all time aren't the GOAT because of some cheap entry price that came with fully fledged MP, it was good because it was a damn good game.
Examples:
I'm sure cats beat these games dozens of times. Hell, I feel like replaying Okami right now..
To me, a good ass experience is what matters. I don't correlate X hours of game time to completion to what the cost of the game should be. If I get a really fukking good game that took me 10 hours to beat then I'd be fine with paying $60 for it. Now that doesn't mean you should go out and buy each game day 1 for $60 as these days you can always get a deal(GCU, coupons, sales etc.)
What y'all think?
