When You Think About It: Jay Got Stronger After Ether

If you really break it down look at Jays career before Ether than look at his career after. Matter fact the whole beef kind of pushed Jay to success and dropping classics like Blueprint, American Gangster, and The Black Album. I'd throw Watch The Throne in there but I don't wanna ruffle any feathers.

It's almost like Jay was cool rapping and grinding but ether forced Jay to become President of Def Jam to make the move that won the whole beef.

Props to Jay for overcoming adversity and setting an example for kids that come from nothing. Imagine if he married some one hit wonder, had a daughter that hated him, and spit lame smart dumb raps what kind of example would that set for the youth. Good thing there's no rappers like that toda.........oh wait

It cant be accurately judged because Hiphop got another big push around the early 2000's and Jay was a part of that but its Beyonce that gave him media acclaim and coverage.

Nas certainely did not surpass his stillmatic/God son numbers and in terms of coverage, but Jay was always fiending for that media attention. He never been a huge huge seller, did he get stronger after ether ..... i think so, but its not because of his raps or music.

First of all, The Blueprint was before Ether. Secondly, the only classic he dropped after Ether was TBA..I dont know what delusional world Hov stans live in where anybody considers AG or WTT to be classic albums..personal favorites maybe but classic..just stop.

The first half of Jay's career B.E. RD-BP he was in his prime and delivered the bulk of his classic material..post ether he dropped another classic and good but overrated one, 2 weedplates and the eurotrash that was WTT.

Jay's bankroll and star status got stronger but that's where it stops.
