When you think about it, the Federation got hoed out by Romulus and the Klingon empire

Cause if I was in charge of a space fleet, ain't no way in hell I'd let them fools forbid me from using stealth technology on my ships.


Starfleet stayed getting slept by cloaked Klingon and Romulan vessels. And them fools never thought, "Hey we would probably be able to catch them sleeping if we cloak our ships too "


They even finally got a cloaking device for the Starship "Righteous Pimp Hand of Benjamin Sisko" and they STILL didn't mass produce it for the rest of the Federation ships

Feds had the juice and the Klingons and Romulans absolutely knew it. Why else would the Romulans use trickery and spies against the Federation? Because in a stand-up fight, they wouldn't want the smoke with the Dominion War-Era Feds...not one bit. The raggedy junkyard Fed fleet led by Data broke their cloak for a bit and stopped Sela dead in her tracks, the top talent on Romulus stopped by Data...

Same for the Klingons, only shot they had to take on the Feds was when they were in peace-time, even then the Klingons knew a fight with a Galaxy or Ambassador class was suicide.

Once DS9-era came around, they followed Admiral Ross and Sisko to the end of the road at Cardassia Prime....The ultimate proof that Romulans weren't about that life was their main Admiral died like a bytch in the Battle of Cardassia, cause he was a dumbass....All that spy shyt didn't mean shyt cause his whole team got vaporized...Dominion said..."Peek a boo, I see you" when they were cloaked....

Now...as for the cloak, Treaty of Algeron, which banned Feds from using cloak tech. Sisko got to use it as long as he shared the Gamma Quadrant data with the Romulans....That was their informal treaty...

Preston and Riker nearly did it with Pegasus and it did work briefly with the Enterprise....

But cloaking is irrelevant against Capital ships, peek a boo one time and it better be a kill shot, otherwise the Feds figure it out and blow those dentally challenged fools up...
