It's best to avoid fighting whenever possible.
Always a last resort.

Putting aside the fact that most people aren't trained to fight, the risk of something escalating to the point someone gets seriously injured or killed is pretty high.

Sometimes I'll see a video of someone getting knocked out and it'll be shocking or impressive...even gratifying sometimes (given the circumstances).

But other times I'll see a video of someone getting knocked out...and I'll wonder if they're even alive. You see people go down and their heads bounce on the ground...you never know...

29. portland oregon. i was homeless and some crazy old white fukker was following me with his pocket knife out, mumbling to himself. i walked up 7th avenue behind the mall and there was a chipotle where these guys were out back smoking on a brick wall by the dumpster. i saw a few stray bricks laying there. i walked up quickly and snatched the brick, turned around, and slammed it as hard as i could into his face. i threw it as hard as i could at the ground and it broke. i heard the employees yelling something (to him, not at me) and i walked back around and jumped on the light rail. i avoided the area after that. that place is fukking insane.

i never saw anything in the news about it. i hope i didnt hurt him too bad. i dont feel great about it, but you have to do what you have to do sometimes. it bothers me
