The man puts in major work every postseason. He obliterates his head to head matchup in every series.

He’s among the most elite of scorers with one of the most polished skillsets.

He’s already the greatest Knick since Ewing. But you don’t really hear him getting that top 10 player love at all.

The only guards I see that are clearly above him would be Shai and Ant. After that you can put his production up against anyone

Let's see what he does against Boston first.

Because we know the perception of him can quickly change to where he goes from being in the top-10 conversation to becoming Jameer Nelson with twists.

Why would we need to wait until Boston?

He already has a large body of work. He’s been a top 3 playoff performer for years now. But he”s still being treated like he’s 2nd tier.

Luka, Shai and Ant only ones better. I've never seen him have a bad series as the guy, one of the best one on one players in the league. He's gonna get his regardless of who guards him in the Boston series

The second sentence in my post should be abundantly clear on why we need to wait until he plays against arguably the best team in the East.

If he loses to the Celtics in a fashion where his "chucking" is the cause or can at least be attributed to why they lost, then the discussion that this board has is going to be a lot different to now where he's seen more in a light based on how successful he was against Detroit. I don't know why we need to rush to an opinion on where he ranks after one series, just let the games play out before microwaving this shyt.

No different to everyone losing their heads after Kawhi had that great performance in Game 2, despite the fact he's played at a standard star level in all the other games. If the Clips lose in Game 7, then those posters will forget all about how they overreacted after Game 2.

Which is even more hilarious given YOU made that Time To Give Kawhi His Flowers thread, and then bumped it after Game 2, but have not posted in a since.

Whatever happens against Celtics would be irrelevant

It wouldn’t erase everything he’s done up until this point. So why even pre create those narratives?

And he definitely won’t be the reason why they lose to the Celts either

As for Kawhi he deserves his flowers for repeatedly working his way back from debilitating and career threatening injuries and returning to elite form everytime. And whether he wins or loses the series doesn’t change that

But I’ll be posted up after game 7 for obvious reasons :mjlit:

Brunson is better than Ant not sure why Ant is just assumed to be better charisma really does go a hell of a long way.

Brunson is the most unstoppable halfcourt scorer in the association today.

Shai is the only one better and I rather have Brunson in a 7 game series. Still can’t count out Curry either tho even at his age.

The H
Brunson gets underrated for sure. He’s older than i thought though. Already in his prime years.
