Rocky isnt an artists who makes "hits" or "bangers" like that and he doesn't really Maje deep music..he doesn't have a specific lane.

BG is a random comparison :heh:

his career has been solid, i thought the 2nd album could have been way better but im pretty sure it was #1 that week. hes also known in fashion and pop culture, which can never hurt (Biz, Busta etc)

i thought the Rod Stewart song was a hit, but it didnt take off

Them Lo Lifes...
Yeah. Not every one is meant to "blow".

ESPECIALLY if you dont got the machine behind you..BUT..the machine did give him a jump start..

He's going to go the way of Waka and EDM music and get the shows booked, features, etc...

He is quite big but Niche at the same time. His career is good. I doubt he's dissatisfied

I think he's got a classic album in him too, it'll come one day. He's got an arguably classic tape tbf

Rocky already kinda messed with that on two songs and if anything his music is becoming more traditional hip hop in a sense.

And I doubt that. I see Rocky as becoming an entrepreneur and label owner. He talked in an interview early in his career about how he wanted to start up a label of his own. And talked about how he picks up business game from RCA

I think his next album will be his best project.

Don't get me wrong, I Love live ASAP but that shyt kinda wasn't really him. It was hugely molded by Yams. Yams directed his sound. And as we see with Long Live and then ALLA his music is becoming less straight up southern sounding. ALLA was more hmmm experimental, his blended a lot of sounds together. also his lyricism has gotten better with each project.

:comeon:

nah, he's moved further away from the sound that put him on. There's a lot of people who don't like when artists do that. Personally I don't mind and loved ALLA. I think Rocky is more genuine & at his peak creatively and as an MC when he does songs like Holy Ghost or Suddenly but a lot of people hate when artists switch up.

I like the way he took his career especially by doing what he is interested in ie. fashion.

Do what you love is my motto. No point forcing a pop career especially if that's not what you want deep down.
