There's a big world outside of Abrahamic religions :yeshrug:
Even in Abrahamic religions, they give props to women if you get past the cac misogynistic manipulation of Christianity.

Who gave birth to the Son of God? A woman. She was the only human involved in that conception.

Which disciples were with Jesus at the cross? Only one of the men (James) were. The rest were too shook. But Mary Magdelene, his Mom and Mary of Clopas were there.

Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices to anoint Jesus body (all women). A rich man named Joseph (not Mary's husband) funded the burial.

There's also this....

There's also the book of Ruth and the story of Hosea. Hosea was made to marry a prostitution for almost seemingly symbolic purposes.

So even hoes get love in Christianity :manny:

I'm not necessarily agreeing that "God is a woman" but He clearly has purpose for them other than making babies and serving men.

Blk conscious community . However God is both "man" and "woman" working side by side. Both genders will overvalue their own importance and diminish the other gender out of ego.

Yes men developed and built most of society are physically stronger and more resilient. However, if the world lost 80% of its inhabitants and you wanted to re-populate the world, having just some men and hella women works more effectively than vice versa. In society men are deemed more disposable. That all said on pure biological standpoint the man goes out and provides, builds, protects, etc while the woman nurses and nurtures. Both play their roles. Some women delude themselves with this women don't need no man rhetoric but sadly enough a lot of the issues our community faces today is due to a lack of strong father figures in blk household. Thus, God ain't either or but simply masculine AND feminine energy working together simultaneously. :yeshrug:

@Lord Quas

It was great when rappers were Muslim and 5% and Christian …
It just goes to show that there isn't a strong unified ideology keeping Black folks together anymore.

Not even our shared experience living in America is enough.

These replies are all over the place.

I like Ab-Soul and Mac Millers music

Both Ab-Soul and Mac Miller have some demons, and unfortunately Mac lost the fight. I see the Satanist elements as more part of their personal story, which includes a yearning for spirituality, even if it’s not a belief system I agree with. I can’t judge them for the path they’ve taken..I’ll leave that up to God.

:manny:

I’ll agree that hip hop to a degree, doesn’t really have the same depth or power when rappers aren’t collectively in tune with their spiritual and cultural roots. It’s trite but “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything”
