in my world they're at the very top based off their diversity alone. they didnt sample alot (that im aware of) either which have always boosted their appeal with me. Pharrell is one of the GOAT song/hook writers also. i stanned these dudes so hard back in the day its not funny. buying all kinds of cd's jus because they had a few joints on there. i do have to disagree with 1 thing: their beats havent aged well at all to me

IMO, The Neptunes are at least Top 10. They had the quantity to match the quality of their beats. At one point, you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing one of their tracks (no matter the genre except Country and Gospel), and most of those songs were dope. From Mystikal to Luda to Jay Z to Britney to Justin Timberlake to Gwen Stefani (solo and with No Doubt)to The Rollingstones to Madonna.

They are also some of the most versatile producers. They've laced Common, Scarface, Jay Z, Mystikal, The Clipse, Twista, Luda, LL Cool J, N.O.R.E. and countless others.
