Has as much importance to the commercialized success of mainstream hiphip as Run DMC. A lot of cats don't know he put in WORK in the 80's when he first arrived on the scene. Corniness aside, he helped to launch hiphop to mainstream appeal and success and single handily put Philly on the map in regards.
