My Pops Forever RIP
Papi is one of our greats but I have a hard time just putting him in the top when Manny did just as much if not more.
Manny's exit from there wasn't on good terms. Every other year they tried to trade him at the deadline.

Boston was a baseball town before Ortiz and will be a baseball town after Ortiz

The Pats were an afterthought before the Brady era
But that's why Ortiz is so beloved. He got the most popular team in that city not just the one that broke the curse but 2 more on top.

City of champions BAWSTON
Over Williams ? lol

Ortiz brought 3 Championships to this city, although Ted Williams was an amazing player he didn't bring any, Williams Career was overshadowed by the "Bambino Curse" something that Ortiz and CO made an afterthought.

Which is why they appreciate Ted more
