There's god-level with just wonder, as far as I'm concerned wonder has not been surpassed yet, then there's legends like otis, gaye, wilson, aretha. Who would mop the floor with today's generation for the exception of maybe miguel , imo ocean and weeknd is just too alternative too be compared to anyone else. They have their own separate lane.

I'd say he's up there with R. Kelly . R. Kelly is the undisputed king, but I feel like Raphael is the unsung contender for rnb king. He's like the nas of rnb of something. Definitely higher than Brown, Songz Usher, Timberlake and Thicke. Maxwell and prime D'angelo may be the only ones I would put on the same level as Raph, but D'angelo been :flabbynsick:.

Nothing special

lol.. Im not gonna say Nothing Special. When Tony Tone Toni popped up and had a run. They put in some great work. I just think that Great is too tossed around. He's a good musician and student of real R&B.

This should have been just an appreciation thread if anything. I dont rank him anywhere high
