I do agree that his runs were very dominant and a little much at times. I always weirdly thought he'd be better leaving the group. Boyz II Men's vibe fit Shawn more. Wanya's voice would mesh with Jodeci.

But I still think overall he has a way better voice than Shawn. Not even close.

You stop it Shawn’s voice was/is everything. That man had me crushing off his voice alone. Looks be damned .

Go see them live. I did for the first time a few months ago and was disappointed in myself that I hadn’t seen them before because they are the real deal live.

I’m not sure where’d I rank him, but he’s definitely top 25 R&B male vocalist.

Again, they put on an excellent show.

He's one of the GOATS to me as far as pure singing ability.

His runs and adlibs are legendary. To me personally, runs and adlibs are what separates the singers from the SANGAZ

Now, as high as I am on him, Ive never thought that he had the best SOUNDING voice if you get what I'm saying. There's many singing voices that I would choose before him if I could have any voice , but as far as pure singing, ain't too many going to hang with Wanya

great raw singer. raw singers can do alot of the "tricks" aka runs. people get bored of hearing the runs though, because it's just showing off at a certain point at the expense of all the other parts of a song that make a song enjoyable.
