ehh, i feel neither one way or another about him. a lot of r&b acts that debuted/peaked from 04-09 didn't really get on, that era was like 88-92 for rap. there was a shift in sounds, artists, and sales that obliterated a lot of up and coming acts and kept older acts from relevancy moving forward. it happens :yeshrug:

He was talented, but there was nothing that made him stand out enough to have staying power. There was a lot of dudes that were in the same lane as him at the time, and he got lost in the shuffle. He should have listened to his label and switched up his image and style, at the very least that would have made him stand out.

Trey Songz would have never had that monster run back in the day if he never changed it up from the “Gotta Make It” era of his career.
