more to do with the fact that the bay is densely populated and full of tech billionaires than an actual fervent fanbase.
NO Bball competition either in the bay. Which is why the Giants sell well but the A's are completley forgotten about.
Bet any amount of money that only about 10% of Bay area residents know that the A's is a more storied franchise than the giants.
The Giants have 3 world series titles in the past decade, of course they sell better
now than the A's. When the A's had Mark McGuire and shyt they was selling out as well..
im confused, are people supposed to support teams when the owners are being obviously cheap with the product ? I cant blame people for not wanting to go to a Pistons or Sixers game for the past 5 years but if those rookies work out then people will show up again.. Does that make them bandwagon cause they dont want to spend $100 to go watch their team get killed by the Celtics or some shyt by 30 points ?
49ers recent example of this, put out a good product, people support with their wallets. Put out a horrible product, and your stadium will be empty.
Raiders play in same parking lot as the Warriors. Their home games were pretty empty the past decade, then they start winning and people show up.. are they band wagon as well or did they not just want to pay $40 parking + $100 ticket to see an obvious cheap and losing product
Warriors are the only team that supported them sell out 100% for years even while losing , probably the most dedicated fans in America
imnot a warriors fan
