Nah, that whole thing was headed by rich cacs who tossed him a few crumbs and used his image for publicity. He pitched in $50m of the $2.15billion purchase for 2.5 percent ownership (Usher owns 1% of the Cavs btw).
It was funny watching the news about the Dodgers being bought by a "Magic Johnson-led consortium"
