Was living in Memphis at the height of Three 6 Mafia. I never really listened to these girls besides the tracks they was on with HCP and Project Pat, but the Memphian in me would represent them.

I'm choosing them over Cardi B and Nicki hands down, but that's just nostalgia.

Both Gangsta Boo and LaChat were some of the most vicious female rappers of their time. They didn’t really get their due.

Lyrics today I’m sure Lachat would be top notch. Skills would be beyond gutter to be neck & neck and others. Looks wise I’m sure she’d be a buildabody chick like the rest of em too. She wouldn’t even be allowed (yes allowed) to look this basic because record labels

I think it was this song on the LaChat album that made me realize that Paul and Juicy were the Godz of musical production. I’m not sure if this came from a sample of something, like a lot of their music, but how they were able to take an oriental medley and make a cold ass beat out of it, I don’t know (the way the bass simultaneously cascades like and Asian waterfall is just ). You really wouldn’t have heard this type of beat from any other rap group at the time.

Spitting tho: I put her pretty high up there. She wrote her own shyt and knew her lane. She'd been spitting since she was a teen with Tommy Wright and them, so she knew how to work a microphone.

Boo was talented , and yes i wanted that cooter in my face. She could ride a beat and her first album is slept on. While Chat was gutter, Boo could be gutter and sexy
