Mid 2000s was arguably one of the WORST ERAS IN MUSIC..especially hip hop

I feel like theres plenty artists from the mid 2000s who were 5-8 years too EARLY and he's one of them. Being a fan of less west coast music back then, he was one of the few who i rocked with.

Theres a lot of elements to him that were lacking from a "going next level" vibe but he definitely was one of the realest ones to me.

Why didn't he blow?

Stupid nikka got impatient and leaked this track which ended up killing this career before ever starting

He got Dr Dre to shout out Black Milk. those Detroit/LA relationships could have been the bedrock to some serious thangs. BUT, nikkas bein nikkas from the D & LA such is life.

Convince me that Bishop Lamont wasn't more than trash

Duke was dope as hell in my opinion, flow was always on point, could go from punchline rap to story telling to conscious shyt and had an amazing ear for beats too. His 3 mixtapes while he was with Aftermath were all on point, projects you could play from front to back.

Yea he leaked tracks which is a no no with Dre. I also heard he wasn't working hard in the studio - he did lots of songs but didn't show growth, which is what Dre wants to see.

I agree he sounde like a ghostwriter to me
