You know, them same flash in the pan dudes a good portion of this forum always preferred to jump to the gun, saying they’re better than the likes of Premier, Dre, Alchemist, etc… I’m glad such comparisons have slowed down nowadays.

Mustard and Mike Will both been in the studio recently.

I know Mike Will went on hiatus for a while but brushed off his gear recently and started to work on new Rae Srummurd. Dude has produced some of Kendrick's, Future's, Beyonce's, etc. biggest hits. Recently produced a song off Gunna's album this year, which is so far the highest streamed hip-hop album this year.
Mustard on a slight hiatus and DJing for a club in Vegas right now but dude also been in the studio recently. Got to remember that Roddy Ricch, the last big Migos hit, Ella Mai, that Nav/Carti single, etc. are all from Mustard.

The both of them nearly got a decade of classics people know so they definitely have their place solidified.

Lex Luger been semi-retired but his sounds are a staple in modern music production. Most producers know the current sounds are mainly just the Lex kit but modified. Like drill for example has Lex's sounds everywhere, many songs use them with no additional processing or modifications of that Lex kit (timestamped 5:22):

I asked this because I’m currently listening to My Krazy Life, which is a dope party album & everyone was on the Mustard craze then… But a lot of shyt was talked within that period. Even by Mustard himself. Just don’t hear their names as much as to the legends they were compared to.

It's crazy but in 2022, there are simply so many producers. Probably exponentially more producers than artists now - everybody got a computer to download DAWs but not everybody can sing, rap or come up with good lyrics. It is not crazy to see an album with 15 songs have 15 different producers, with no common producers between songs. It's the "type beat" generation where newer producers upload beats they did to youtube that sounds like another producer or is directed at an artist. Then a new artist that wants to sound like Lil Baby for example hears it and buys it or hits them up for a collab or rights to the beat.

They also do this on sites like beatstars so if an artist wants to buy a "Future type beat" or a "Metro Boomin type beat" they can get one on the cheap from a producer trying to get heard rather than pay a steep price to somebody like Metro Boomin for one.

Another big thing many modern producers are doing now is that they sell their soundkits and presets online at sites like wavsupply or a subscription sites like splice. That way when new producers come in, they end up using their sounds as well. Of course everyone just hits up reddit communities to get many of these kits though.

Plus so many producers share their screen when they stream themselves making beats now so everyone copies but they don't mind or at least know that's what many people are doing on their stream. Most producers in the game don't really hold onto their secrets anymore - the clout is sharing what you do. There are too many sharp ears out there that break everyone's beats down. Mostly everyone shares their sauce now.

Somebody like Kennybeats has his own discord where everybody shares sounds, loops, etc. Not to mention all the beat collabs.

Producing now is like the gaming community: twitch, youtube, streams, etc. In many ways, and you'll hear people mention it but the "super producer" is a thing of the past or starting to be a thing of the past.

Additionally, so much new music comes out every week. Last I heard it was like every 5 days there are 1 million minutes worth of new music released on all streaming sites/apps which takes like 2 years of straight listening if you want to hear it all the music that came out those few days.

Edit: about 60,000 new songs added to Spotify each day. 3 minutes each song and that is about 900k minutes of music every 5 days.

Mustard produced Roddy Rich Late at night and Ty By yourself those are 2 recent hits

Lex is still out here producing

These 3 producers are better than the producers you have in the OP :camby:

They're all still around and active and you would be surprised by some of the songs they're credited on.

This is old now, but people don't know Lex did this:

No one has actually ever gave a fukk about Alchemist and premo

those dudes are held in high regard by raps fans that prefer 90s rap

It’s an insult to Dre that you put their names next to his
