I'm gonna go with Peyton. He broke every record a quarterback can break, has 2 more MVP awards than anyone else has, took 4 different coaches to the super bowl, won a pair, has I think top 3 all time in 4th quarter comebacks, won multiple titles, and led his team to a title while beating the top 3 defenses in the league that season, and even led the biggest comeback in the history of the conference championship game along the way (no other team has done that).

  1. Tim Duncan
  2. Kobe Bryant
  3. Alex Rodriguez
  4. Peyton Manning

I'd say Alex Rodriguez would be higher than Kobe, given that Alex's greatness is greater relative to his all-time peers than Kobe is.
Alex is probably the best player of all-time in BOTH positions that he played. He just had too much controversy surrounding him that his career ultimately wasn't as glorious. Even if he was the far superior player.

Peyton only won a Super Bowl with the Colts because Jim Irsay Bill Polian changed the rules so his team could beat the Patriots.
And he won his 2nd Super Bowl in what was probably the single worst SB performance of all-time.

Tough one. I think ARod ends up last in the list.

You can go with Duncan/Kobe/Manning in any order and I really couldn't argue against it

It's tough but I'd go with Peyton. Has the stats and records to help his cause. Kobe and Duncan do have the titles but i think that counts more as a team effort. Especially in basketball. Not taking anything away from them cuz it's very close. Peyton also did it while switching teams which is no easy task especially having to learn a different organization and still be successful. Kudos to Kobe and Duncan for being lifers tho. Arod is definitely last. I'm not knocking his play or anything but I think he's one of the most overrated players in the league. Especially for the value they put on him. Not worth that much money when he got that contract. I wouldn't pay anyone that unless it's a pitcher like kershaw. But these days everyone getting 25 mill.

A pitcher is the last position that should get that contract since they only play every 5 days. An infielder is an everyday player. Can't give a guy that contract when he's gonna play maybe 30 games in a season.

Yeah I see your point. I just see it as them having more of an impact on the overall game but it's true that they only play every five games.

Funny that seven of the top ten salaries are pitchers. Other three are Cabrera, pujols, cespedes.
