I'm watching the Rangers-Red Sox game right now, and I think the Sox will retire Ortiz's #34 jersey.

In the same breath, I dont think the Yanks will ever retire ARod's shyt.

What do yall think, who will have their jersey retired? Or better yet, make an argument for why a player should or should not have their jersey retired :lupe:

I don't know if there will be a lot of numbers from this era that get retired imo, because not too many players
(1) stay with the same teams long enough during their prime, or (2) end their careers with teams
they wrecked shop with.

That said:

yeah, Papi is a lock.
maybe Papelbon, too.
A-Rod? No.
Pujols fucced up leaving STL.
maybe Matt Holliday.
Miggy probably.
Howard, Rollins, and Utley. All three.
Todd Helton definitely.
C.C. is a maybe.
If Beltre stays Texas for a couple more seasons I think they'd consider it.
