So the Sonic movie is officially out. Despite what everybody thought, it did pretty well at the box office and with fans and a sequel is likely. That said, outside of the mid-credits scene, the only characters from the game were Sonic and Robotnink. So if a sequel is made who should they go with?
Of course there are tons of other characters (The Chaotix, etc.) but I doubt they want to get too obscure.
- Tails - The mid-credits scene probably guarantees Tails will have a role
- Knuckles - The scene at the beginning about the Echidna clan might hint at him
- Amy Rose - Well...her character was kind of annoying in the games, but the movie could use more female characters
- Shadow - Kind of a 90s anti-hero character, but he could be interesting if done right
- Metal/Mecha Sonic - Would make a good secondary villain, and it would be easy to just have Robotnik use that piece of Sonic's fur to power him.
- Chaos (from Sonic Adventure) - Could also make a good secondary villain
- Rouge -The Sonic version of Catwoman. Not sure she'd fit the tone of the movies though
