The 70’s were a lot more musical, more experimental, and instrumentals-oriented and didn’t had to rely on any studio magic to get the job done. Black musical creativity was arguably at its peak during this time as well as its purest and most beautifully chaotic with the likes of Funk, Soul music, Quiet Storm, Punk Rock, Disco, the second (or third/fourth?) wave of Jazz music, GoGo, and Rhythm & Blues....That was the decade of The Isley Brothers, EWF, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Minnie Riperton, Kool & The Gang, Smokey Robinson, Barry White, Grover Washington, Jr., Herbie Hancock, and Alice Coltrane.
Yeah I’m gonna have to go with the 70’s on this one
