Sabin's run was
Random 'thank you' reign or whatever after his knee injury.
However I still have some interest in AJ vs. Bully(a little)...I've gotten to the point where I don't care about Bryan vs. Orton.(Bob Backlund as the ref randomly giving folks the Crossface Chickenwing would have been crazy though)
Since August(Summerslam) Bryan has won the WWE title twice, TWICE. And the second time he won it(Night of Champions) I didn't even care, it happened a month after Summerslam contrary to everybody saying that Bryan would have to chase Orton in order to get it back.
(run on sentence time)The stuff between Cena and Bryan with Bryan talking about Japanese wrestling tradition of slapping someone to show respect and Cena offering his cheek to Bryan so that Bryan could slap him and Bryan refusing to do it because he said Cena didn't earn it leading to Summerslam match...
with Cena putting over Bryan and Bryan acknowledging during that match that Cena had 'earned' his slap as a show of respect and both men shook hands at the end of the show then the next Raw with him again putting Bryan over and acknowledging that Bryan beat him fair and square...THAT STUFF WAS GREAT.
Everything since then I've been less and less interested in Daniel Bryan and his chase towards the WWE Title. They had it right there, they had everything. Sure that heel turn from HHH and Orton was great at the end of Summerslam but now I'm like...so what? I know I didn't answer the question because my answer has nothing to do with Battleground but it has to do with what they had right in front of them beforehand.
