I strongly agree with Bay. He'll eat forever with a charismatic cast and shyt blowing up.

Well one of the jobs of the director is to get good performances out of their actors.

And a good script can be easily ruined by bad directing.

13th hour was pretty good. I enjoyed the 1st TRANSFORMERS. But he simply isn't on that level of filmmaker as a Spielberg or Nolan.

Michael Bay, Bryan Singer, Brett Ratner, Roland Emmerich are ones that come to mind. I mean ID4 would've buried Emmerich's career if it wasn't for Smith and Goldblum chemistry and all them X-Men movies were garbage truck juice.
