This election has made it clear that the GOP, as it is right now, is in demographic trouble. Unless something changes they're unlikely to win the Senate or Presidency soon. They simply have to appeal to a wide demographic than older white folks. Couple of different factions they could throw in the bushes:
-The Tea Party/far right (they might be hurting the GOP more than they're helping)
-Moderates (some Republicans feel they lost because Romney wasn't conservative enough)
-The Religious Right (this hurts them with young people in general, not to mention fiscally conservative non-Christians and gays)
-Xenophobes (they lost big with Latinos, the fastest growing demographic, so they may have to ignore the xenophobes in the party and become more moderate on immigration)
-Neocons (remind people of George W. Bush and the war in Iraq)
Some other one I'm forgetting?
