Harlem
Just re watched harlem nights not too long ago. I think it gets by on nostalgia cause it's not really funny
I was very disappointed by how unfunny that movie was, when you consider the amount of comedy legends in it. In fact for a long time i wasn't even sure it was even supposed to be a comedy until coli brehs starting hyping it up as a funny movie.

They played it straight mostly

It's the movie Life with less intentional comedy

Harlem Nights imo wasn't trying to be funny most of the movie.

It definitely had its moments where the aim was 2 make you laugh and when it tried it did.

That's totally different than a movie that's constantly trying to get a laugh outcha, but it keeps failing.

Bama ass DC
Della Reese might be the funniest person in both movies.
Every scene with her is pure top tier laughs
Her and Fred back and forth>>>

Her and Red Foxx were the funniest in the movie to me. I voted Friday cause overall it's more of a straightforward comedy while Harlem Nights is more of a serious movie that just captures some naturally funny people being funny.
