Simple as. WWF rings had absolutely zero give in that span. Lucha rings are so bad people would rather bump on the floor but somehow seem to have a hollowness to them at least. Dudes in the 40s and 50s bumping in boxing rings seem to have had it easier.

I’m going with the 90’s WCW ring. Hurricane Helms said that thing felt like concrete. Less give than even the 90’s WWF ring which is really saying something.
