02-04 Banks had a certain level of humor and wit to his shyt that he can’t seem to capture now. His voice was also better. He’s a better rapper now definitely but I prefer his old style more. Just a more entertaining listen overall if that makes sense. I still fukk wit new Banks tho.

50 Cent was becoming the biggest rapper since X in 98 and Em in 00’. The mixtapes were huge, Wanksta was a hit and his buzz was undeniable but for the heads who loved the art of rapping, Banks was the one we were actually most excited about.

My exact sentiments. He shows that he still has the humor and wit when he pulls up to “freestyle”at Funk Flex every few years, but you’re right it’s no longer in the music.
